"DON'T LOOK DOWN" is Kim Ewing's latest release of original songs that deal with "Matters of the Heart."

“Kim Ewing is living proof that hard work and persistence does pay off.” Those words were written about Kim in a San Antonio newspaper in 1993. They were right about this Dallas native who has forged her own way in the music industry. Her music has been compared to a blend of Joni Mitchell and Patsy Cline. Most of the songs that she performs are her own original compositions that have delighted Texas audiences for years. Kim’s songwriting is smooth contemporary about “Matters of the Heart.”

Her years in the Army provided her with opportunities to write and perform for the Armed Forces Network in Germany receiving high praise from her commanding officer for her ability to use her music to boost morale.  Her original songs received radio airplay across Europe including Germany, Denmark, and France.

Back home in San Antonio she wrote a TV jingle for President Bush’s “Time to Care” campaign, performed at several benefits including Texans Against Drunk Drivers, Multiple Sclerosis, and the televised San Antonio Original Songwriters Expo.

Now making her home in Tyler, Kim continues her work as a published songwriter producing some new and amazing music with the help of her guitar and her creative mind. She is found most weekends entertaining East Texas audiences at many of the most popular venues. Kim has hosted songwriter events in San Antonio, Canyon Lake, and we welcome her to the Winnsboro Center for the Arts Songwriters’ Workshop.***
