"NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY...IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE MUSIC"
"NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY...IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE MUSIC"
It is so hard to share this sad news about our beloved Jo-EL. Jo-EL passed away on January 13th following a show in Llano, TX. He finished his show, received a standing ovation, and was called back for an encore of Jambalaya before he walked off the stage for the last time. He passed away with his beloved wife Bobbye by his side as she always was for the past 34 years. He was often referred to as a living legend and now he has crossed over to join the other true music legends. He loved his music, his God, his Louisiana, his band, his fans, his family and friends. No one will ever duplicate his 65 years onstage sharing the music of his culture. He was "The Real Deal" and there will be "No More One More Time" for our Jo-EL. Rest in peace.

Be sure to check out my books below: My sister-in-law wrote these books about me and my life growing up with Asperger's and some of the challenges that I faced as an autistic child. One book is about my little friend, Marcel, the imaginary little deaf mouse that lived in my accordion and traveled around the world with me. There is also a very special cookbook with recipes from many of my country music performer friends who shared some of their favorite recipes with me over the years. We have lots of pictures and stories about my life, my music, my friends in country music, and what it means to be a little different than most.
